Pricing for accommodation can range from $100 – $380 AUD per week. This will be dependent on where you live and what is included within your accommodation package for example;

  • Rent
  • Utilities such as Electricity, Water, Gas
  • Meals
  • if you prefer your own room compared to shared rooms

Working in Australia

Prior to working in Australia, it is important to ensure that you have the following;

  • A current Resume
  • Tax File number
  • An Australian Bank account
  • In certain cases a drivers licence
  • Possibly a police check and/or a working with children check

Cost of Living

The minimum wage per hour is around $20 AUD or higher. Based on working 20 hours per week, you would earn approximately $400 per week Gross (Before Tax). The following link shows are examples of what some of the basic every costs in Australian dollars.
